Legal notice

In accordance with Articles 1-1 and 1-2 of French law n°2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), as amended by law n°2024-449 of 21 May 2024 on securing and regulating the digital space (SREN), users of the riders.fr website and the RIDERS mobile application are informed of the identities of the parties involved in their creation and maintenance.

5. Intellectual property

All elements on the riders.fr website and the RIDERS application (text, images, photographs, videos, illustrations, logos, trademarks, icons, source code, database, design, visual identity, etc.) are protected by copyright, trademark law and, more generally, by intellectual property law.

The name "RIDERS" and the associated logo are the exclusive property of the publisher. The "RIDERS" (no. 5283386), "NOVALPI" (no. 5283373) and figurative emblem (no. 5283410) trademarks were filed with the INPI (French National Institute of Industrial Property) on 29 July 2026.

Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication, adaptation, distribution or exploitation of all or part of the elements of the site and application, by any means or process whatsoever, is prohibited without the prior written authorisation of the publisher, and constitutes an infringement under Articles L.335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.

6. User-generated content

RIDERS application users may publish content (routes, photos, videos, comments, reviews, etc.). They retain ownership of that content but grant the publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the application, under the conditions set out in the Terms and Conditions of Use.

The publisher reserves the right to moderate, remove or refuse any content that is contrary to the law, public morals, the rights of third parties or the Terms and Conditions of Use, without prior notice or compensation.

7. Personal data and geolocation

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR: EU Regulation 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 as amended, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection with respect to your personal data.

Data specifically collected by RIDERS:

  • Geolocation data (routes, GPS positions): used to provide the application's features. You can disable location access at any time from your device settings.
  • Photos and content you voluntarily publish.
  • Identification data (email, username) and technical data (logs, device).

8. Cookies and tracking technologies

The site and application use cookies and similar technologies as described in our cookie policy. You can change your preferences at any time via the consent management module.

9. Subscriptions and financial terms

The RIDERS application operates on a freemium model with paid subscription features. Pricing, payment, cancellation and refund terms are detailed in the Terms and Conditions of Sale and at the point of subscription.

Payments are processed by secure third-party providers (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or another payment provider to be specified). The publisher does not have access to users' full banking details.

10. Liability and rider safety notice

The publisher strives to ensure the accuracy and currency of the information published, but cannot guarantee its accuracy, precision or completeness.

IMPORTANT WARNING: ROAD SAFETY

Routes, advice, points of interest and information shared on RIDERS are provided for informational purposes only. Each user remains solely responsible for their own riding, compliance with traffic laws, the mechanical condition of their vehicle and their personal safety.

The application must never be used while riding. Check your phone only when stationary, in a safe location.

The publisher accepts no liability for any accident, injury or material damage arising from the use of information provided by the application.

The publisher shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from access to or use of the site or application, in particular in the event of interruption, unavailability, data loss or a bug.

11. Hyperlinks

The riders.fr website and the application may contain links to other websites or third-party services. The publisher has no control over those sites and accepts no liability for their content, operation or the consequences of their use.

12. Applicable law, jurisdiction and mediation

This legal notice is governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, after attempting an amicable resolution, the French courts have sole jurisdiction.

In accordance with Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute, the consumer may use the services of a consumer mediator free of charge. The NOVALPI SAS consumer mediator is currently being designated; their contact details will be published on this page once appointed.
